About the muDDi Club
More village. Less alone.
Melissa founded the muDDi Club in August 2026, practically while still recovering from giving birth. During her pregnancy she met two other mums-to-be in a class, and they became close friends. That is exactly what she wishes for every mum in Dresden: a best mum friend.

Stone by stone
After its destruction in 1945, the Frauenkirche was rebuilt from 1993 to 2005. To this day you can see the dark old stones between the light new ones. That is how our village grows too: every meetup adds a new stone.
That's all the way from Dresden to Hamburg!

Would you like to help shape the muDDi Club, for example by joining walks as a host, taking photos or finding new meeting points? We are happy about mums who help out as volunteers: voluntary, unpaid and as much or as little as fits into your everyday life.
How it all began
The muDDi Club launched on Instagram on 24 August 2026. Ten mums came to the first muDDi Walk in September, and a week later more than 40 prams were rolling through the Großer Garten. Within a few weeks more than 1,000 people were following us on Instagram. Today Melissa, Kimi and Jessi run the club together, entirely as volunteers.
What does the muDDi Club stand for?
The muDDi Club is there for every mum in Dresden who wants to get out, find her people or simply talk to grown-ups again. "muDDi" is a playful take on "Mutti" (mum) with the "DD" for Dresden. A big city doesn't automatically mean you find your people quickly, and parental leave can get lonely. That's why we want to move away from comparing ourselves on social media and towards real encounters. We are free, with no membership and no commitment.
What do we do?
On the muDDi Walk we walk a relaxed loop of about an hour together, with prams, baby carriers or little ones holding hands, stopping whenever someone needs to feed or change. Meeting points include Floras Garten in the Großer Garten or the Hygiene-Museum by the Blüherpark. There are also café meetups and events: our patchwork picnic on the Käthe-Kollwitz-Ufer with around 80 grown-ups and little ones, BuggyFit with Anne Fietkau or a Pilates afternoon just for you. We announce every meetup on Instagram.
Our values
- Everyone is welcome, whatever the age of your child or however your days look right now.
- Coming on your own is completely normal.
- We are more than mums: we also talk about things beyond the kids.
- We only recommend what we genuinely like and always label advertising clearly.
What's next
We are planning me-time activities like yoga, Pilates and creative workshops, readings and family events such as a muDDi Club brunch. And because dads are looking for connection too, we are in touch with papaseiten.de.
New here?
Do I need to sign up?
No, just come along. If you like, let us know, for example with a comment under the meetup's Instagram post or in the WhatsApp community. Then we know roughly how many are coming.
Where do I find out about meetups?
On Instagram at @muddi.club, where we announce every meetup. You can also find them here on the website under Meetups, and we send reminders in the WhatsApp community.
What happens on a muDDi Walk?
We meet at the meeting point and walk a relaxed loop of about an hour together. Breaks for feeding or changing are always fine. Afterwards we often head to a café or beer garden for a drink.
Can I come on my own?
Absolutely. Most mums come on their own the first time. That's exactly what we're here for.
Do I need a pram?
No. Pram, baby carrier or your little one holding your hand: come however suits you.
What if my baby cries the whole time?
Then your baby is in good company. Nobody will look at you funny, promise.
How much does it cost?
muDDi Walks and meetups are free, with no membership. At café meetups everyone just pays for their own drink. Special events with an instructor, like Pilates, may have tickets, which we always mention.
From what age can I come with my baby?
As soon as you feel ready. Many mums join for the first time in the first weeks after birth. Listen to yourself and ask your midwife if you're unsure.
Is there anything for dads?
Our focus is on mums. Some events, like our picnic, are for whole families, and we are in touch with papaseiten.de, who support dads in Dresden.
